Since our last reunion, I have moved to Gustavus, Alaska where I am superintendent of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.  Gustavus is a small (350-600 people) bush community, accessible only by air or boat in Southeast Alaska.  To go grocery shopping, to travel anywhere, to go to the doctor, you fly in a plane.  We have 12 tidewater glaciers in the park, which is 3.3 million acres, humpbacked whales, brown and black bears, wolves, moose, lots of fish, and spectacular scenery!
